Celebrate Earth Day Everyday!

Our planet is truly a magnificent place well-known as the Blue Planet due to its abundance of water, the Earth is an incredibly complex and energetic ecosystem, where living organisms interact with each other and their environment to create the ideal conditions for life. We have it all: it’s warm but not extremely warm, a lot of water but again, not too much. Our Earth Is perfect and it’s in trouble.

While some people celebrate Earth Day around the time of the March Equinox, most others regard the occasion on April 22 each year. The event is held worldwide to celebrate the support for protection of the environment, and has continuously drawn more and more people in each succeeding year. Earth Day aims to inspire awareness and appreciation for Earth's environment.

The rapid growth of plastics is now threatening the survival of our planet, from hurting and poisoning marine life to disturbing human hormones, from littering our landscapes and beaches to blocking our waste creeks and landfills. This year’s campaign focuses to End Plastic Pollution.

What Do People Do

Earth Day is more than a celebration. It is absolutely serious that we take care of the Earth and its natural resources, and not only is Earth Day a time to celebrate that, it is a time to make a difference as well.

Various suggestions are brought to light about recycling, save water, energy conservation, respect nature, keep the environment clean, reduce toxins in the air, use recyclable bags for grocery shopping, reduce air pollution, switch off light when not in use, increasing plant and tree growth to increase oxygen, love and respect towards all animals who inhabit the earth etc. – There are small ideas with huge impact.

If people implement some of these and make changes in their behaviours towards Mother Earth, then we would be able to make our planet a much better place to live in. Let us step out this year and set an example for the rest of the world by making India a cleaner and greener place to live in.
